Molley Moody is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader with a passion to connect people to the hope, love, and freedom found in Christ through her music.
Born and raised in the small town of Rose Bud, Arkansas, Molley grew up in a musical family, surrounded by singing and a deep love for music. At 18 she moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University where she graduated with a degree in music. After touring as a background vocalist for gospel artist CeCe Winans, Molley made the move to Atlanta to grow as a leader and an artist. She has since led worship as a part of Passion City Church, Passion Conferences, BigStuf Camps, North Point Community Churches, and Catalyst Leader Conferences. She was also featured as the guest artist on the 2018 Night of Hopetour with mentor and friend, Christy Nockels.
In 2018, Molley released her first full-length album, Heart Songs, featuring ten original songs written to point listeners toward experiencing the freedom found in knowing Jesus. Whether leading worship or sharing songs and stories from her album, it is Molley’s greatest desire as an artist to create music with a timeless ability to draw listeners of all ages closer to the heart of God. And perhaps what sets her apart is that Molley is a people-person to the core; whether on or off stage, being present and connecting with folks on the road is maybe her favorite part of it all.
Molley currently lives just outside of Atlanta, where she leads for several local ministries.
I’m Molley Moody. I’m a singer, songwriter, worship leader, and lover of all things music. I was born and raised in the small town of Rose Bud, Arkansas (and yes, it’s as country as it sounds). I’ve always had a deep appreciation for music and singing, thanks partly to growing up in a musical family and partly to all my musical heroes, including Dolly Parton and Amy Grant. Following in their Tennessee footsteps, I moved to Nashville at 18 years old to attend Belmont University and pursue my dream of being an artist.
That move? It was life-changing! I met my friend and music mentor Christy Nockels, who took me under her wing as an artist, worship leader, and a person. I also met gospel artist CeCe Winans, who took me out on the road as one of her background vocalists for almost five years. I eventually made the move to Atlanta to step out on my own as a solo artist and continue to grow as a leader. Since then, I’ve led worship at Passion City Church, Passion Conferences, North Point Community Church and partners, Catalyst Leader Conferences, BigStuf Camps, and more. I was also the featured artist on the 2018Night of Hope Christmas tour with my dear friend Christy Nockels and her family.
The best part of all of it? Getting to share my heart with folks along the way. Because almost as much as I love music, I love people. I’m a people person to my core (shout out to my fellow extroverts!). That’s why sharing stories of freedom that will connect people back to Christ and draw them closer to His heart is my deepest desire. For years my greatest fear was to pursue this dream, but with a lot of prayer, love, and healing, I’ve been able to stay true and go after it with the kind of freedom that only comes from Jesus. With that in mind, I released my first full-length album, Heart Songs, featuring ten original songs written to point listeners of all ages toward experiencing the freedom found in knowing Jesus.
I am grateful for any opportunity to get to share my heart with you through music. My prayer is that this music will have a timeless ability to draw listeners of all ages closer to the heart of God. I hope to meet you on the road soon!
